About tempos

tempos.cc is a small set of tempo tools for musicians, DJs, producers, dancers and anyone who needs a number for "how fast is this song?".

The idea is simple: open the page, tap, get the answer. No account, no pop-ups, no waiting for a heavy app to load. Every page is a single file of a few kilobytes, it works offline once you've visited, and nothing you tap or analyse leaves your device.

How the tools are built

The tap counter measures from your first tap to your last, which keeps it steady. The metronome schedules each click on your device's audio clock, so it doesn't drift. The BPM detector runs beat and key analysis right in your browser. Each page explains its method, so you can judge the result for yourself.

Found a problem?

If a tool gives a wrong result, a song throws the detector off, or something doesn't work on your phone, I'd like to hear about it. Write to hello@tempos.cc with your device, browser and what happened.
